There are numerous bat species in Iowa but the big brown bat and little brown bat are the most likely to be encountered in human dwellings in Iowa. They find their way in through openings as small as a quarter inch caused by incomplete construction or weathering. Once inside they may go undetected for many years causing a build-up of guano.
While all bats are protected there are ways of dealing with them if you should find that you have them in your home. The only way to fully solve the problem is to do a complete exclusion and seal-up of the property.
It is sometimes necessary to do an attic restoration as well. This involves removing any guano and contaminated insulation then sterilizing, and re-installing new insulation.
Animal Removal Solutions will come out and do a full inspection of your property and give you a full explanation of what your situation is and an estimate of what it will cost to solve the problem.
We fully warranty all our work for one year and will be happy to come out do follow up inspections to verify that new entrances have not opened up.
See our links on the bottom of our Home page for tons of bat facts and possible dangers!
